FLATPICKING 2001 is another great studio release from the magazine that focuses on the pure acoustic style of guitar playing known as “flatpicking guitar”. This year’s release gathers together the magazine’s pick of artists who represent the best in the flatpicking guitar style and who bring to the recording both traditional material and original compositions created for flatpicking guitar. Larry Keel is featured on track number 9, presenting a recording of his original tune “Jerry’s Farewell” that is taken from the Larry Keel Experience’s “The Sound” CD. Other guitarists featured on this compilation include Curtis Burch, David Grier, Chris Jones, Clarence White, Steve Kaufman, John Carlini, George Shuffler, Tim May, Dan Crary and Beppe Gampetta.
